Kusina ni Mama Sita Showcases Filipino Culinary Heritage at Pasinaya 2026 | Manila City, Philippines — February 7, 2026 — Kusina ni Mama Sita brought Filipino culinary artistry to the spotlight at Pasinaya 2026 through a live cooking demonstration held at Pandayan A, Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) Complex. The session featured the preparation of two beloved Filipino dishes Pansit Palabok and Bibingkrep as part of the festival’s Palihan Program.
Recognized as the Philippines’ largest annual multi-arts festival, Pasinaya gathers artists, students, and culture enthusiasts for a full day of performances, workshops, and interactive experiences spanning music, theater, dance, visual arts, film, and literature. The Palihan Program, in particular, serves as an open platform highlighting diverse artistic disciplines through engaging demonstrations and learning sessions.

As the festival’s sole culinary arts feature, Kusina ni Mama Sita highlighted Filipino food as a vital form of cultural expression. The demonstration drew art students, cultural workers, and festival attendees, underscoring how cuisine preserves heritage, tells stories, and strengthens shared traditions.
The presentation showcased Pansit Palabok, a classic noodle dish known for its savory shrimp-based sauce and rich toppings, alongside Bibingkrep, a contemporary reinterpretation of the traditional bibingka. Together, the dishes illustrated the adaptability and enduring appeal of Filipino flavors.
